Stars Orienteering is pleased to host the 2012 Stars Thomass at Sudden Tract in Cambridge (many thanks to Guelph Gators for the use of this map). This hilly terrain will provide both interesting features to orient around, as well as a beautiful day in the woods! [I'll post some photos shortly :-) ]

| Format |
Thomass Race format The race will have a mass start and the first participant to finish is the winner. Participants must visit all numbered checkpoints in sequence. Six checkpoints will be labelled with letters and are known collectively as the "Thomass Box". Based on a racer's Thomass Handicap (a number from 0 to 6 based on age and gender), he or she is permitted to skip that number of lettered checkpoints. If you're new to Thomass, don't worry! We'll explain this again at the race and answer any questions. You just need to bring a compass and some basic map reading skills. |
